Course Details:

• Platform: Classes will be held on Zoom.
• Recordings: Each session will be recorded and shared with students if they miss any class. Access to the recordings will be available only until the end of the workshop.
• Instructor: The classes will be led by Amulya Raghavendra (daughter of artist Raghavendra B B) along with the artist.
• Language Support: Since the artist speaks Kannada, Amulya will provide assistance and communicate in English throughout the workshop.
• Session Focus: The sessions will focus on observation and showcasing techniques, rather than being fully interactive.
• Learning Approach: Consistent practice is essential for mastering the painting techniques of artist Raghavendra B B. We do not encourage tracing the entire painting. Instead, the focus will be on teaching techniques that will enable you to create a painting on your own by the end of the workshop.

What you'll learn in the workshop:

1. Basic sketching of the deity.
2. Pencil sketching of arches, postures, Peeta and jewellery details
3. Line drawing and colouring of deity and other elements
4. Gesso preparation and various techniques of artist’s gesso work
5. Gold leaf cutting, application, and rendering
6. Final colouring of the background and face

Materials issued:

1. Painting board in which the cartridge paper is already pasted. (ready board)
2. Gesso powder/paste
3. Pure 24kt Gold leaves
4. Painting brush
5. Rendering pen

Key points:

• We do not ship materials to the USA or other countries due to customs issues with gesso and gold leaves. Students from overseas  who wish to enrol can purchase the materials when they visit India.
• You will also receive access to the recording of the specific workshop you've chosen.
• Additionally, we will provide WhatsApp and video call assistance throughout the workshop, if needed.
